This young team put in a great effort during the team and exceed all expectations to qualify for the championship final where they played a talented Ardfield team in Rosscarbery on the 25/9/10 After a superb game where they gave their all and came close to causing a major upset before eventually losing with honour on the score Kilmacabea 5-5 Ardfield 4-16. There was some confusion for players and supporters alike as they fielded in the unusual colours of red and white as they wore the Maultrahane National school jerseys due to a clash of colours.
