The junior
footballers travelled to play Clanna Gael . In a game where there was little
between the sides they ended up on the wrong side of a one point margin a
scenario that has happened a few times this season.
Final score Kilmacabea 0-8 Clanna Gael 0-9
The U14hurlers played Ilen
Rovers on Thursday 24th May in Leap. The team put in a good battling
performance but had to give way to the stronger team. Ellis Wilson picked up an
unfortunate injury and the club wish him a speedy recovery.
The U12 hurlers travelled
to St Colums on Saturday. With limited numbers and experience they were up against
it and playing against the gale force wind in the first half made their task
impossible.
The minor hurlers picked up a missed fixture when they played O Donovan
Rossa in Leap on Monday evening. This was a good competitive game between two evenly
matched teams and was a good test for the team. After a good hours hurling the
team was glad to fashion a victory. The final score was Kilmacabea 3-13 O Donovan Rossa 2 - 12.
During the week the pitch was sanded to
continue the maintenance of the surface condition.
