On Tuesday 24th July the minor
footballers played Naomh Aban in the championship in Ballineen. With the team as a unit never performing to
their potential they were beaten on the night on the score of 0-11 to 0-6. The U16
hurlers won their game in the league vs. St Colms in Kealkil on Thursday 26th
July.
Preparations are ongoing for the community
festival which will run from 1st - 6th August. It is important to support events as efforts
have been made to have something for everyone.
The semi finals of the Fr
Crowley cup involving all the National school pupils (3rd -6th
classes) will be played on Friday 3rd August at 6pm followed by the
opening by Sean Kelly, MEP at 8pm. The play off finals will be played on
Saturday evening at 6pm. Next week the Cul Camp runs from Tuesday 7th
to Friday 10th August inclusive from 10 to 2pm each day. Roll call
on the first day Tuesday is at 9.30am.

Shane O’Neill won a bronze medal in the
All Ireland U17 javelin in Tullamore.
Kieran O’Sullivan, Liam Thompson, Alex
Nowotynski, Mikey O’Mahony, Dara Tobin, Adrian Gore, Joseph O’Callaghan, Euan
Tobin and Caelan O’Mahony were part of
crews that won medals in the Cork County Coastal rowing championship in Haulbowline
on Sunday 29th July.
