Adrigole made
their long trip to Leap worthwhile when they played in the Autumn U12football
league on Sunday, October 6th. With a bit more drive they had the
edge on the home team. The locals took awhile to settle but showed they had
ability of their own also when they found their rhythm.
The first prize winner in the October club draw was Kevin O’Sullivan,
Reavilleen, second went to Deniese and Diarmaid French, Knockaneacrohy, and
third to Mike and Anne McCarthy, Reavouler. Consolation prizes were won by Ted O’Donovan,
Kilmacabea, The Milner Family, Bandon, William Williamson, Killenleigh and
James Nyhan, Gortroe. This was the final draw for 2012. Supporters are
encouraged to renew their membership for the next year with the first draw
being a combined two months at the start of December.
The AGM is to be held on Friday 30/11/12 at 8pm.
Team captains are to be picked at AGM.
The club would like to thank all who took part and supported
the Rebel Og/Mercy Foundation Fun walk held on Saturday, 29th
September. Any outstanding cards to be returned ASAP. Funds raised will be
shared between the underage club and the Mercy hospital.
The club is holding a “Scrap Saturday” collection, this
Saturday 13th October 10am -2pm at the GAA grounds. Anyone who has
scrap metal can tidy their place up and it will also help with fundraising.
Anyone interested in taking part in Scor is reminded
this is getting under way shortly.
The club is organising defibrillator training shortly.
Everyone is encouraged to avail especially all team mentors. There is a
registration night on Monday, 15th October at 8pm at the clubhouse.
Junior C Football Championship Final Kilmacabea v
St Colums on Saturday, 13th October in Aughaville at 8pm. Support
would be appreciated.
