Latest News 9/5/11

First prize in the May Club draw went to Anthony Cahalane, Clounkeen Second prize went to Warren Brown, Cullane and third prize went to Vincent & Bridget O’Callaghan, Dungannon Consolation Prizes went to Michael John O’Donoghue, Shepperton, Donal & Angela O’Donovan, Milleenanimrish, John O’Donovan, Fairfield, Keamore and the O’Driscoll Family Kellinga. The U13 footballers were in championship action on Tuesday 3rd May when they took on Clanna Gael in Skibbereen. It was a difficult night for youngsters as there was a very strong wind. The team played well but on the night they had to give way to a better team. The minor footballers took on Kilbrittain in Leap on Wednesday 4th and after a steady performance they came out with a win on the score 5 – 6 to 3 – 2. The junior B footballers played Randal Og in Ballinacarriga on Thursday 5th and the spoils were shared on the score 1-8 to 2 – 5. The club hosted the 1st round of the Cork County Senior football championship match between Carbery Rangers and Ilen Rovers on Friday evening 6th May and after extra time it finished in near darkness with victory to Carbery Rangers. Thanks to all who helped out.

U12 hurling v Ilen Og in Rath on Wednesday 18th May at 7.30pm
